Why this film?

Neuroscience and AI are buzzing and their progress is challenging us. In "Entre Paris et Leuven” (“Between Paris and Leuven"), a professor in neurosciences sets out to study the phenomenon of atmosphere. Perhaps ambiance opens the door to the integration of other inspirations, other creations that turn our perceptions, our figures, our times upside down?

Jean-Michel Oberland

A composer and classical guitarist, Jean-Michel has been immersed in the world of cinema for more than 10 years, with everything that goes with it: image, sound, editing, framing, colour, with an openness to the latest technologies and an urge to integrate them. His many musical compositions lead or strengthen the theatrical narrative.

Lili De Vooght

A psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Lili loves to invent stories with complete freedom. Fascinated by the importance of inspiration and intuition in science and art, she interweaves existential and dramatic experiences with an exploration of the urge and the human ability or inability to rediscover or find resilience and lightness.
She loves directing: the exchange with the actors increases the intensity of the whole process.

From the moment they met, they immediately inspired each other. The result is short films, documentaries, feature films and a wealth of compositions. After "Le guide de M. Pilou", "Between Paris and Leuven" is their second feature film.

Starring

Antonio Signorello

le Pr Giovanni Sattieri

Antonio. Italian, Sicilian, tenor, masters the art of drama and music. He is lively, colourful, conscientious and agile. This is how he takes on the role of Professor Sattieri.

As a tenor soloist, he takes on numerous opera roles and performs at theatres and opera festivals in Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, the USA, Argentina, Canada and Japan.

Together with the Japanese pianist Atsuko Nieda, Antonio Signorello founded La Compagnie de Chant Vittorio Tosto in order to continue the work begun by his maestro, the musician Vittorio Tosto, who died too soon, based on a shared belief in the syncretism of different art forms with the aim of creating a unique and multifaceted artistic reality.
