Synopsis

In Grand Island, Burgundy, near Avalon, in a factory, a woman works with steel. She is an artist who creates her works with finesse, elegance and meaning: social, political and intimate. She explains her work to the visitor, but also to her pupils, the different techniques: grinding, plasma cutting, soldering, oxidation, patinating… She teaches her trainee, Hilde with intelligence, wisdom and humour. The director accompanies Hilde and Christine in their work and exchanges. It’s a wonderful encounter, characterized not only by mutual respect but also by humour and the joy of creating.
